Recently saw this very practical idea to keep shackles quiet while driving, a magnet holding it in placeImage

It was on a fire truck in Germany.

Let’s use this thread to share some practical clever ideas Image

Use cling-film or polythene bag
over/on the tow ball before hitching
to provide ‘dry’ lubication ...

I had a lot of difficulty reversing my
(short) Metalian-Mini acutely up my
inclined driveway with my long 130 LR ... 😬
... trailer very easily/rapidly
tended to jacknife ...

Reversing in low range
now makes such manoevering much easier...🤓

Leave your beers closed while 4x4'ing - you'll look like less of a box later...

Fit a tow hitch to the front bumper. It's much easier to manoeuvre a trailer when the steering wheels of the tow vehicle are the ones close to the hitch. It's also easier to see what you are doing.

Leave the bottles of wine and beer at home and take tins and "doos-wyn" as they don't break in your fridge or cooler box.

Condoms work the best.

Pull it over, stretch the end and tie a knot.

Never keep charcoal and a hilift jack on your bak without tying down the hilift, on a trail!
