But those mirrors look chrome?

The actual mirror is painted gloss black. The back is chrome

I got to see one today at the Kenilworth Branch. It was the top of the range one with chrome mirrors that are actually black.
It’s very lekker & appears wider than the old one. The bonnet seems higher. Its the sort of thing that Jeep should have built.
Plenty of room in the front & the seats are comfortable. The interior is basic but it’s a pity that there’s no satnav option.
A couple of small things could have been improved, like the additions of a drivers o’shit-handle & rear hinged windows. The rear mudflaps look flimsy & would likely break off.
Other than that I can see them selling gazillions of these.
The salesman reckons they have 20 orders already & he would have sold 20 on Saturday had they had available stock. Waiting list is middle of next year for delivery.

I want to test drive it. But I normally just test drive a vehicle if I am almost 100% certain I would buy it. But I do have this itch

I seriously doubt it - the lack of stock probably makes it seem more desirable

The GLX has the SLDA "radio", which has smart phone connectivity, so you can use google maps and waze, which works quite well.
The radio does have optional satnav in other countries, but I don't think they have a mapset for southern Africa yet, that is why it is not available.

I asked the salesman if this was possibly & he said no.

I set it up in one that I drove, it worked perfectly with Android Auto using both Google maps and Waze.

I got the missus to try one [emoji41]
This salesman was far better & confirmed what Saxj said about the satnav.
It’s an impressive package.
