Seems this Flexopwer is a load of crap...
Or maybe Sean's is faulty.
But it couldn't power a fridge with just two beers in it, in a cool room, on a chilly night, for 12 hours.. !

It sounded too good to be true.

A backup the size of a shoebox that can run a fridge for a day and be charged via solar or somme the cig socket.

Does anyone know the size of the battery it holds? (Not dimensions, but AH?)

So he unplugged the fridge.
Gonna fully charge the Flexopwer and then start again.

The Flexopower was showing all but one blue light when I plugged the fridge in.
We then ran the fridge with the Flexopwer plugged into the mains for 2 hours.
So the flexopower must have been fully charged or damn close to full when he unplugged it.

Anyway... let's see how the 2nd test run goes....

2nd test:

He charged the Flexopower until it was full.
Then, at 09:00 this morning, he unplugged the Flexopower & plugged my fridge back in.

At 17:00 the Flexopower was nearly flat. So that's 8 hours running time.
That's about the same performance as an old car battery that had been standing for a month.

So far I am bitterly disappointed.

18:00 & the fridge is off as the Flexopower is completely flat.

I am not impressed with this product.

I've suggested he try return it...

So that thing cost twice as much as my battery box including inverter, charger and battery etc, and lasts less than a third of the time

You could buy a Lead Acid Deep Cycle battery for R2000 & it would run the fridge for longer than the Flexopower.

So Sean is not giving up.
He is going to charge the Flexopower overnight & then plug the fridge in again tomorrow morning.
One final test run.

On River Trip that same fridge, but fully packed, ran from around 15:00 to around 09:00 the next morning off Fearless' main battery & fearless started no problem.
That's 18hrs & the battery was left with enough charge to start a diesel.

I camp for 4 days unplugged with my Metalian which has two deep cycle batteries with the following:

90L National Luna fridge/freezer
LED lights all around the trailer
Interior LED light for the tent
Water pump when using the tap
USB charging of two phones and an iPad

And it doesn’t get to near 12V on the HCDP display.

At 3 Provinces, my Trailers battery ran the National Luna & a few LED lights, from Thursday evening to Sunday morning using only 1/3 of the batteries charge. I reckon it could probably have made it until Tuesday evening - that's 5 days...

Hi Mad Manny. I really like your interest. It is well received amongst our launch dealers, because they sell well. Regarding forum discount, I can give you a heads up that the current price of R7.150 incl. will change on 1. August to R 7.973 incl. Reason is the introductory price period is ending on 31. July. You can order online on www.flexopower.co.za and the Li444 will be couriered free of charge anywhere in SA. - You are welcome to visit the launch dealers (Gauteng only): Frontrunner, Megaworld Menlyn, Megaworld Bryanston, Megaworld Strydom Park, Megaworld Zambesi Drive, Conqueror West Rand, Conqueror Zambesi Drive, Voetspore4x4, TJM Pretoria East, Safari Center Alberton and maybe score the introductory price after 1. August.
Maybe you should not advertise it being capable of running a fridge for 18 hours? Or is it a T's and C's thing. Capable of running a fridge at the same temperature as ambient temperature for 18 hours?
