New Suzuki Jimny's pricing has been revealed!!!
-1.5 GA: R265 000
-1.5 GLX: R300 000
-1.5 GLX Auto: R320 000

Dealers are waiting for stock to arrive, and SA is one of the first countries outside Japan to get the new Jimny!!!
Not bad !!

Been watching this thread with interest - my other personality besides my love for Mitsubishi Is Suzuki (sorry Kurt) attached is my other 4x4 in Greece - 20 year old Suzuki Vitara built like an ox indestructible. 2l 6 cylinder, low range with lockable hubs and very capable.
So looking forward to Suzuki making more in roads into 4x4 - they were class leaders in the small 4x4 in their day

I hear they have a long order list already.

Remember SA is the FIRST country to get this Jimny,
Japan got it first, but theirs is the 660cc Kei car.
Not sure the Seirra was launched in Japan...

The starting price is lower than expected and in the light of the silly prices cars go for these days, it ain't bad for a "real" 4x4.

You can get the new Jimny for R300k.
Proper 4x4, SFA - but basic.

Or for DOUBLE the money (the price of TWO Jimny's) you can get an Haval H9.
Prado knock off with a 2.0Turbo - but loaded with goodies.
The Haval is very keenly priced.

If you look at it that way - the Jimny isn't bad...

And in 10 years the Jimny will be worth 50% of what you paid, the Haval 20% of what you paid

The Jimnies keep value like crazy. (Wonder if this will still be so when the new one comes out) I am trading mine for 26% less than what I paid for it. Bought it five and a half years and 80 000 km ago. I could probably get close to what I paid for it now if I sell it out of hand.
