Haval SA has updated their website with the details of the new H9 (poor man's Prado).
Here's the Brochure...

How will this compare to the Fortuner or Everest?

Could this be sarcasm?

It's actually pitched against the Prado - believe it or not.

In fact it's just a Prado knock off.
They just went 2.0 T rather than V6 4.0 so the Kongs can make 3 Haval's with the steel Toyota uses in one Prado...

Manny I doubt you’ve had a close look at them. Anyone can see that they aren’t thin as far as the metal work goes.

In Aus, the entry level Prado is 60k AUD. Entry level Fortuna (2wd?) is 50k AUD.

The H9 ranges from 42k to 46k AUD. So it competes with the Prado but is cheaper than a Fortuna.

I stopped at a Haval dealer. The H9 will be in CTN middle of September.

The top of the range will be R599k. So that’s R100k cheap than the petrol Tuna & R150k less than an entry level Prado.
