Frustrating when things drag out.

What is the goal here, seems like it is more out of spite than anything else.

Yes, that is the goal of the complainant

Off to court again tomorrow.

I no longer require any financial support.
But the support given was most graciously accepted & covered nearly 1/3rd of this year's costs.
I hope this will be the last court date (followed by the last lawyer's invoice).

I'll let y'all know in 24 hours!

If this is the same court as a case being heard for a mate of mine, then apparently they didn't pay their power bill............

Hopefully this stupidity gets resolved today in your favor.

Had a Lekker Morning this morning.
The Sefanie Meek case was heard at Roodepoort today.
She is the lady accused of killing her son Jamie.

We were to start at 11:15.

I needed to get paint mixed. The place that mixes the paint is 2/3rd of the way to the Roodepoort Courts.

I left home at 10:40, dropped off the paint details at 11:00, then popped down to the courts.

Due to the Stefanie Meek case there were dozens of cops & a crowd of protestors singing & dancing.
I had to walk the gauntlet through cops & singers.
They were actually singing beautifully.
Very entertaining!

The Presiding Judge in the Meek case is the same Judge hearing our matter, apparently.
She had worked through the night preparing for the Meek bail hearing.

I arrived at the court 15 minutes before we were due to start & chatted to my lawyer.

We then went in, the Plaintiffs father gave evidence & wrapped up his cross examination by my lawyer.

The judge then closed matter for the day as she was, understandably, very tired.

We return again in a month.

I collected the paint at 12:00 & took it to my team.

Love it when a plan comes together beautifully! :D

Feedback: The matter wrapped up this past Tuesday when I took the stand. It was an interesting experience.
My lack of legal insight prevented me from determining what their strategy was.
To me it seemed like they didn't have one, but, as I say, I do not possess legal acumen.

From what I understand (I could be wrong) all that's left now is for the Judge to make a ruling.
This will, apparently, happen by 24 October.

Now we wait...

What does your lawyer say about their apparent strategy?
If I believe your version (and I do not suggest that it is not a fair version of events), then the case must be weak, and was brought before the court only out of spitefulness. Hence judges should throw it out, to avoid timewasters, and get on with real issues such as the Meek case.
