riteria Sub R300k, Sub R400k, sub 50k km, less than 2 years old, 1500kg towing capacity give or take, daily commuter, 10 year life span, Reliable:

-Mahindra (XUV 300, XUV 500, Scorpio etc)
-Haval H6/H7
-Rav 4 (2.0Manual)
-Mazda CX-5
-Jimny
-Nissan Xtrail

As per the above list, my assumption is that you will only be towing on tar is that correct.
If not, then this list is pretty useless in terms of a tow vehicle going off road.

Even a Fortuner 2x4 will then do the job for 10yrs
Life will take you where ever you want it to take you...as long as you drive a 4x4

Hi Rechardt

Yes this will be for the typical Kruger/Dinokeng/ATKV kind of setups. Longer holiday kind of setups, some gravel roads maybe with corrugations...

More pavement princess kind of setups, in "SUV" form... Also acting as Daily commuters...
It's all relative...

A diesel engine Bakkie-Based SUV is what these posers need.
They can look at the Pajero Sport, good vehicle, not many dealerships.
An Everest, if they trust Fords two turbos.
Although, they'd probably only have enough for a 3.0TDCi
MUX7 - but they are a bit light in the pocket.
Or....
The Pathfinder, if you think Nissan will still exist by December.
Just stay away from the V9ZX

Yep. The YD25 engine version is the best.
