They have no interest in how many cylinders it has or whether it has some form of forced induction...
The latest Suzuki Swift 1.2 now only has 3 cylinders.
Having no Turbo it only puts out 61kW & has a very low Torque output.
This Mahindra is also only a 3 cylinder 1.2 but far better outputs thanks to the forced induction.
Id certainly buy the X03 over the Swift...

When I see the words Chinese Vehicle and Mahindra all interest are lost.

So many people I know struggle with aftermarket service. Not saying they build bad products but their dealer support is non existent.
Mahindra is around for quite a few years and they still have not been able to get their dealer aftermarket support going. Even some minor parts have a three month waiting period.

Then also there are no current offerings from the Chinese or anything from Mahindra that can replace my current vehicles.

You will never find me without Stroh or a 4x4 :D

What you talking about Grips, you could replace your 76 with a Scorpio N & the 79 could be replaced with a S11 Karoo - it even looks like a Cruiser! :D

MG Relaunched in South Africa

Now not the same as the MG's under British Leyland, as these are in essence another Chinese brand entering RSA. They have good value for money vehicles here in Kangarooville, so should be some good options in RSA as well

New Mahindra Global Pick Up getting nearer, looks like the Scorpio N from the front. Looks like it'll be a big improvement over the current S11

Life has been hectic! I haven't posted an update in over a month!
The New Dacia/Renault Duster is here - looks very nice, no more diesels, but the AWD has a 1.2Turbo Petril!

Ineos have launched a few Commercial edition Grenadiers, from what I can ascertain, they just removed the rear seats & fitted steelies.
If you claim the VAT back your total saving is R500k.
Definitely the one to go for if you are an Overlander.
(Thanks Jakes)

Nissan is stuffed, they remind me of an old Hooker past her prime trying to sell herself - but no one is interested.

Stellantis is also in Trouble.

Tesla is facing headwinds - Libtards are saying it's due to politics, but I think it's just that EVs were never the answer.

Had Dinner with KurtG & Andreas last night.
Andreas mentioned that they are looking & launching a TANK 300 SFA with a V6.
I thought he was becoming delusional, so I did a fact check...

Read here...

https://www.drive.com.au/news/2025-gwm- ... -revealed/

GWM has revealed what may be its most hardcore off-roader yet, a GWM Tank 300 with live front and rear axles and taller tyres to take on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

And there is a chance it could use a new V8 – a 4.0-litre twin-turbo, plug-in hybrid-assisted unit currently in development – based on suggestions by GWM in a presentation at the Shanghai motor show.

It is named after the Hooke Trail, an off-road track through a mountain range in western China.

If they launch this, even with only the 2.4 Diesel, Wrangler sales will drop by 3 or 4 a month to Zero...
