Was the Camp site at least pleasant for us to consider a camping trip there? can you give a bit more information on the camp site?
(This info is about 3 years old)

I have camped at Phambuka Resort & Camp which is about 5min from the Do Ouro town center and Parque de Malongane which is about 30 min. In and out of season.

Phambuka Resort is really simple, power was dodgy when we were there and couldn't run a fridge and a fan ran so slow it didnt really help.
Parque de Malongane is a bit better equipped but also 5A limits for power. We go here off season just for the diving. I much prefer this one for reasons like its away from the town traffic, less locals getting stuck, better restaurant, nice pub area with a view.

for both:
*very shady. Hard to actually find sun to charge a battery
*ablutions are sufficient but dont expect forever resort type of deal. Phambuka uses a donkey system which they maintain.
*have a restaurant on the property, Malongane has a equipped dive center on the property.
*are right near a beach and shielded in case of bad weather. Phambuka a bit more so that Malongane. Malongane is a stones throw from the beach where Phambuka you need to walk a few min.

There are some camps in the town itself but I have never tried them. Over busy weekends the traffic in there is terrible. Even some of the local pub owners are trying to move away from it but I guess the convenience of walking all over would be nice.
