Christmas pressies

#1

Post by Rechardt »

So we are spoil others at Christmas time with pressies ranging from 100 Bucks to who knows, a couple of thousand.
But do we actually spoil ourselves.

I just did, with a simple pair of Jim Greens.

What have you spoilt yourself with.

I used to buy Jim Green boots for work, but they are damn hot on summer, especially with thicker socks.
I changed to a sports shoe with short socks e much cooler but I still have a few pairs of Jim Greens.
Good boot. Lekker for the tough outdoors.

My Christmas present to myself was fitting a Safari Outdoor drawer system that Peet spotted for sale (Thanks Peet).
I then mounted a Gobi-X drawer slide that I had on top for the fridge, problem was you had to stand on your tip toes to see inside and the lid opened against the open rear door (top hinged on a Tuna), so you'd have to hold it open while grabbing a beer.
Andreas spotted the dilemma and very kindly offered me his old Stofpad drop down fridge slide (Thank you Andreas: you not only look like Father Christmas ~ you ARE father Christmas!).

So, finally, after 15 years, the 'boot' space in Fearless us finally sorted...

Gonna buy me 2 tanks of diesel to go to my brother's place in Stutterheim. Taking my motorcycle with.
We going to do a "Broer Toer", and see how many passes we can do in 2 days.

Nice pressies guys.
Mine is having had Pierre breath some new life into my old Westfalia camper.
The motor is running real sweet and had the engine bay redone.
The front end will get attention next year.
Looking forward to using it for air cooled events and weekend camping trips.
