Manny's Trip Report - Continued:
Saturday:
It was light by 05:00 & given that we all went to bed so early, the campsite was stirring from shortly after 05:00.
At 06:00 I decided that no one will sleep if I can't & woke the rest up.
By 08:00 we were all long ready & waiting.
We did the pre-trail speeches & headed off.

The Trail is lovely (If you've done 3Provinces or Rebellie you'll have an idea). There are about 14 obstacles, but you can bypass them all.
We did most.
The trail is nice - you can do it in anything from a Ranger to a proper 4x4 [emoji38]
But there are even obstacles to challenge the most experianced guys in their serious machines.
In fact, there was an obstacle that even the Great Ant, in his Patrol Machine, decided not to attempt - so something for everyone.
Three vehicles had winches & those winches all got a good workout!

We stopped for a Boerrie Roll lunch at the waterfall. All arraned by Rechard & funded by the club, so the guys got a few Rands of their membership fees back! :)

We stopped for an awesome group photo (I'll post the photo Martin took below) Then headed back to camp.

A really nice Trail.

Manny's Trip Report:
Saturday Evening:
We gathered for the group photo & then commenced with the formalities.

Mike PS had arrived at 14:00 & joined in.

This is where I made a devastating Blunder - I made the Kamp Kommandant the StrafdopMeister & that unleashed hell.
Top Tip: NEVER put Bugger in charge of dealing out the Strafdoppe - 22 people consumed 6 bottles of shooters!

Sunday:
We all packed up & left - Remo was the first to leave - gone by 06:00!!!

Mike PS was shortly after him - meaning MikePS was there for under 18 hours!!!

My Comments & Thanks!:
Firstly a MASSIVE Thank You to Rechard - he did an OUTSTANDING job.
- Great Venue
- Great idea
- Lekker lunch.

Then a big thanks to ALL those who attended.

Remo Torrente - fantastic name, nicely kitted Ranger Wildtrak, lovely little Teardrop Trailer (Naledi), lovely wife, great guy. lovely sense of humour. His looks - not so much. But a great new addition to the 4x4AG Club.

Somta - the helper who was on site to clean & start the Lister Gennie & sort stuff out.Lovely lady!

What was reassuring is how many of the guys who commented on how great the weekend was & how much they are looking forward to the next one.
