Also, there was no Patrol snapped at the Klip.

Knowing the owner and the rest of the Patrol group, I actually asked as I saw them all this morning before leaving.

He did not get up. Issues with the vacuum for the diff-locm solenoid, but other than that, nothing is broken.

I know, Douw, was there and told me what happened.

But the way I told the story is far better....

That video must have gone viral. Shortly after you posted the vids, I was inundated with messages from various people asking about it. So I had to clarify...

Whilst I appreciate your poetic license, sometimes it is just easier to be upfront with facts...

Also: I tried calling earlier to hear if you got home with your 'damaged' side shaft. There was no answer. :)

The festival was really well organized and an absolute blast!

We decided to go "camping" in style and booked one of Moegatle's chalets. What an absolute gem! Extremely clean, well looked after and fully stokked kitchen, even if there was no 4x4 event, this would have been a memorable weekend. Nice gardens, braai facilities, anything you could want for a proper weekend away. Alex and Betsie were absolutely amazing, and thanks to all the sponsors that made the event possible.

There were heaps of wood to braai and as an added bonus, there was a food truck which makes life lekker if you feel like a burger and chips for a mid-day snack.

Having to do "Koos se Klim" has been on my bucket list, but have only been at Moegatle once before and never even seen "Koos se Klim". Driven most of the 'main' route the day, Andre asked if we are going to "die klip", thus next thing we were there.

There was a Jeep crawling up there, making it look like a highway!, no other takers, I decided to give it a go. Two "failed" attempts, took a slightly different line and up the Sussie-Bussie went. Coming down, you only really grasp how steep Koos se Klim really is! Really enjoyed it!
Andre followed next in his Patrol (weighing in at around 3.5tons I believe) and very top-heavy! I take my hat off to him for even giving it a go! And he gave it all he had, but the lockers decided not to play along and really looked like he was going to flip it! That man deserves a Bells!

Overall great weekend, great people! Though I do believe Ian to be the man of the match, zip ties on Manny's vehicle was classic, seeing as Manny was too lazy to even get in his vehicle and getting his tires dirty. Lazying around camp the whole day, is deserving of some cable ties. Ian the man the legend, we thank you...

Congrats on the Klip, Peet!
It takes some kahunas every time you go up, and with Andre's rig, even more so.

We have stayed at the chalets on Tinus's 50th.
Very good value if you want to take a break from camping.

That klip is something else when you actually get to the bottom and look up, good drive.

Gert se Klip is at De Wildt & is a Yawn Fest.
Koos se Klim is at Moegatle & is daunting.
