As a tough, rugged, outdoors man, I wear tough rugged work wear.

I used to buy a lot of Jeep clothing - there clothing, unlike their vehicles, was good quality & well-priced.
But they started getting pricey, so I changed to Jonsson Clothing.

Initially Jonsson Workwear wasn't bad - 100% cotton is cool & the quality was good.
But they too stated getting pricey.
The quality of the clothing also seems to be getting worse.
Or maybe I'm just getting rougher - I wear the shirts out from the inside.

Then I bought a pair of their shoes. A Jonsson Workwear All Terrrain shoe.
What a load of crap.
The laces stripped within a month.
I went in & asked them for new laces & they said "We can SELL you new laces!".
I said OK what length are they. The lady insisted I take the 110cm lace as the 125mm would be too long.
The OEM lace was actually 150cm - so clearly the staff are all idiots.

Then the one shoe split/tore within 3 months.
Knowing that:
1. Their staff are all idiots.
2. They don't offer back up.
I went in & showed them the shoe & said the shoe is less than 3 months old.
I got a blank stare (because their staff are all idiots).
So I asked if they could repair it.
She turned to someone & shouted "Do we repair shoes".
The reply "No!" was shouted back across the store.
So I walked out.

I then mentioned this story on the Jonsson Workwear FB page - no response.

Awhile later some guy was complaining about the quality of the foot ware & I replied repeting my story.
Jonsson Workwear messaged me asking for my contact details.
I supplied them.
They said they get in touch, but being idiots, they havent bothered.

Anyhoo, since I'll no longer be buying of Jonsson Tearwear ever again, I'm looking for a new workwear supplier.

Any suggestions, I've heard of Teesav.
Someone said Boerbul is good stuff - they seem to sell a lot of Camo & only a Bonehead wears camo.
They seem more expensive than Jonsson, though.

Have dropped the Jonsson brand long ago. The last shirts I bought from them only lasted 6 months.
Salty makes good shirts. Also find Dromex to have good quality workwear.

Used to wear Johnsons, but like you mentioned, bad service and quality not on par with price.

Have since changed to Ruggedwear and Wildebeest. Not the camo stuff.
They seem to last well, seeing as I do a lot of metal work and fabrication.

Not really familiar with the term Outdoor “Workwear” but it is amazing how Johnson Workwear have gone all upmarket, with fancy shops in shopping centres etc, while their prices have increased to ridiculous levels and their quality has deteriorated to beyond junk. I predict hard times to come for that company.

Their work boots are also crap!

If you're looking for boots - look at Jim Green. I have a pair going on 2 years where the Johnsons only lasted around 6 months.....

Wildebees Camo jackets are crap! Don't know about their other lines.

Boerboel cater to young, toned, well muscled chaps - so Manny you're out on all three counts [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]!

But seriously, good quality clothing that can stand up to hard wearing is hard to come by!

I have a pair of Caterpillar shoes, about 9 years after I bought them the tread on one delaminated.
I called Carerpiller and asked what glue I must use to glue it back.
They asked when & where I bought them & if I had the receipt.

I explained that it was over 9 years ago, I can't remember and I don't have proof, it's not a warranty claim, I just want info on the glue.

They then asked if they can come fetch them, I said OK, assuming they were very kindly going to fix them.

The collected the shoes and 3 days later dropped off a new pair.

While Jonsdons attitude is "If you didn't want problems, why did you buy our crap?"

If you're looking for boots - look at Jim Green. I have a pair going on 2 years where the Johnsons only lasted around 6 months....

I know Jim beam. Have many old pairs of their boots.
But nowadays I prefer canvas to leather - much cooler.
I have had Merrill, lasteb no longer than my Hi Techs which cost half as much. Have also had a few other brands.
I bought the Jonssons as they were well priced and I assumed they'd be good quality.
They are really terrible....

Javelin is in the same R24 complex as where my brother had his workshop. I'd wanted to stop and have a look at their showroom on a few occasions but never got around to it. I want to go looking for some denim pants for work, so if I do go there, I'll give some feedback.
