Judging by the photo, CBS registration, ZA sticker, a very dusty 4x4AG spare wheel cover and faded petrol Jerry Cans.

I'm guessing an old South African wheeler, long time club member and you drive a Petrol 4x4....?

That looks like a campsite at Tankwa Karoo Nat Park? Nice campsites & clean ablutions - passed the wife's no-spiders-criteria!

Our trip was 2750 km long, about 50% dirt roads. 2 weeks in total.

We traveled to
Merweville,
Sutherland,
Middelpos,
Tankwa Karoo NP,
Calvinia,
Clanwilliam,
Algeria Campsite deep in the Cederberg,
Day tripped to Lamberts Bay and Elands Bay,
Kagga Kamma Game Reserve,
Tankwa Padstal,
Back to Mossel Bay.
30 passes in all.

Only had an issue with the electric panel coming loose in the van, causing the water pump to not work. A temp fix using a bedside light switch did the trick for the rest of the trip.

Amazing experience.

Manny and the gang were 1 week behind us. Very interesting to read their experiences.

Next year, we want to do that section of the West Coast!

Iandvl did that area (Hantam Karoo & Namaqua region), then Henri did it, then we did it. So you have 3 trip reports to draw info from.

Not really.
You did give a route outline.
But a Trip Report is always nice....
