Close (it is Yank), but no cigar

My uncle had one in the early '60s and it is my first recollection of an engine beat. It is what woke up my love for Yank V8's. We called it the "Hoogle-bakkie" after the engine's burble.

Good enough - it was called 3/4 ton pick-up on the web page where I found it. I don't think International Harvester ever had more than one model on the market at any given time.

As an interesting aside fact- the "C" series "Travelette", which succeeded this model in 1961 was the first 4-door "double cab" ldv commercially available
