I went to some faraway boomed (Waterfall ?) Office Park Estate beyond MegaWatt Park and not far from Mall of Africa.
… efficient, civilised, organized etc …
No Hobos, beggars, thieves or idiots etc
Unusual sort of place.
Not a problem.

I can vouch for this, Waterfall Park DLTC, here https://maps.app.goo.gl/rDUGMnZ72xuvdNreA , open 7am to 9pm, 7 days a week, currently 5000 + slots available!! I did the eye test and paperwork in 15 minutes on 22 Oct, went to fetch the license on Sunday, in and out in 10 minutes.

OK, an update:
My license expired on 21 November, so on the 22nd I went onto the eNATIS system and booked an appointment at Waterfall Lic Dept.

The appointment was yesterday.
AlleyG and I shot through, parked right outside, and within 35minutes we were done.
Being on Crutches and wearing the Moonboot saved us about 12mins.

Could not have been easier....

Apparently my renewed license is waiting for collection at the Edenvale Traffic Department. I just haven't had time to go and collect...291 days and counting.

OK, I have tried a couple of times, but each time I've arrived there the power has been out, or the "systems" down, and life's too short to wait.

.Those without bookings take the luck of the draw, they complete a different register and sit and wait in a different area for gaps in the Appointment group.

Fastest is to have an appointment and crutches....

Was wondering if I should get my C1 as well.........our local driving school does the C1 lessons in a flat bed truck. Then I'll be licensed to drive 3500kg to 16000kg which then includes stuff like 4x4 Isuzu NPs. (The poor man's Iveco Daily 4x4)
