Driving 2400km towing @ 40*C in 4 days will do that to you...

… agree, an average of 600km a day is a lot.
Myself could not do it …
even once spent 2 nights on road to Durban…

Got to say that you need the odd day in between to just chill and take stock. Fix the odd thing that gets vibrated into oblivion, repack fridges, wash clothes, sort out vehicle, check batteries and charging systems, clean stuff etc etc etc. There is no real resting time on a trip like this. Early mornings early to bed.
