Bon Voyage Andreas!
Former Chairman, long time member & all round guy*, AndreasR is heading off on a stunning trip tomorrow 27 October.
Andreas is probably this Forums foremost Overlander & a seasoned traveler.
Andreas, have a stunning trip, I hope your preparations & planning bear beautiful fruit.
We are very jealous & hope to live the trip, vicariously, through a well written trip report.
I will ask our reigning trip report champions, Mike Nel & Asjas to critique it.
May the power of your LiFePo4's give you light & refrigeration.
Thank you for all your help with the YEF Strafdop list & Awards - I will be sure to give due credit at the YEF.
Bon Voyage, have a stunning journey into deepest, darkest Africa.
PS. I hope you submitted a postal vote for the LGE - the ANC needs all the help it can get!
*No, I did not accidentally omit the 'nice'...

Have a good trip Andreas.
And remember my challenge: try and beat the 4.7L/100km my mighty Touran achieved on our recent 930km trip to North Wales.
I know you can do it with your 4.8L petrol patrol towing a Metalian with a toolbox on top

I think he will struggle to get 4.7km/L...

Thanks for the kind words Manny. Really looking forward to this trip. Up through Bots. On to Livingstone, Lower Luangwa, Kasanka for the bat migration and then Kafue NP. Should be about 6000km.
