Wessel I've made 2 different light weight hitches with the 50mm square tube recently. They're for a different vehicle but the concept stays the same. They would be fine for towing a light trailer but definitely not rated for a recovery point.
Those machined square hitch replacements are strong but it does depend how and to what the towbar is attached. If the towbar is only secured to the sheet metal of the body and not the chassis it would be silly to use it for any recovery situation.

Thanks Paul,
I ordered one this morning, if only I knew sooner that you could make one for me...
I have a Rhino replacement back bumper with 2 recovery points, it is attached to the chassis. I will only use this hitch for towing but it is good to know that it can also be used for light recoveries i.e. Jimny, Fear less or a 110.

So i got the hitch and it is sh*t, it only slides in about 50mm which is not good enough. I also had to tap it in with a 10lb hammer and then I had to snatch it out with a rope (broke 3 times) tied to a tree...
Simple solution was to just flip my heavy duty tow bar around, idiot me.

Is that new piece powder coated or painted? Powder Coating adds a few mm to the dimensions. Take the coating off with a stiff wire brush on an angle grinder or drill. If it still doesn't fit in to the receiver easily check for protrusions in the square tube that need to be filed out.
I see in the last photo that flipped tow hitch now blocks your rear view camera. If it's not being used just take it out.

Hi Paul,
I think it is. The main issue i have is the short 50mm that it slides in , if i tow a heavy caravan I risk having the hitch tear the female side on the vehicle.

If you are not totally happy then have a hitch made up.
I did that a few years ago.
Bought some keysteel from a place in Boksburg and they even machined it for me the size I required to slide into the square on the towbar.
