I think this is a very good thing. I rely on spotters. I also think that too often people (men) buy 4x4’s and just get in and drive so it’s always good to run courses. What we do is not a game: it’s dangerous and expensive!

Wow
I think this is an awesome idea, it will be very popular.
My biggest concern in 4X4 overlanding is how to recover from a steep incline whilst towing an off-road van and the vehicle stalls, how do you safely recover.

1. Apply hand brake
2. Chock the living shit out of the trailer/caravan
3. Unhitch the van
4. Restart the vehicle
5. Engage the appropriate gear
6. Release hand brake
7. Continue on your journey

Saxj, most off-road trailer brakes don’t work on a downhill in reverse. So you need to add a step called “chock the living shit out of the trailer/caravan” before unhitching.

I was debating holding it on Monday 21 March - the Public Holiday.
But I'm undecided.

Very lively, it lasted for 5 days. Then I decided to think some more on it...

The 6 different voices in his head are confusing enough without anyone else chipping in Andreas. :D
