BF tyre side wall cut - what effect will one tyre change have?

Good evening all you wonderful forum members.

I managed to cut a sidewall it seems, at Sandturion of all places since I was only mall crawling since then... The tire is stuffed, I asked an expert plumber (Manny) this morning and he agrees.

What negative effects can I expect if I only change one tire? For the noobs, the Prado is permanent AWD. The BFs have 10k kms on them.

Is the spare a new tyre?
If so. Buy 1 tyre. Put that and the spare at the front. And make the used one the spare.

Hi Rainier,

Spare is just a Goodyear, the sidewall cut is bad so the tire is a write off, thus I will sit with 3x basically new BFs on the vehicle and one cheapy as a spare

Im sure with only 10k km on them it shouldnt be a problem to only replace the 1

Ok - so I have a spare 265/70/17 Ko2 -
However I’m thinking of changing my shoes very soon to Grabbers and will have 5 x spare BF’s 30% to 40% tread - something to consider ?

It's spelt Tyre. Not Tire or that word Leon used.

Santurion is a 4x4 Track, Johannes. Sharp rocks (unlike you lot).

Wessel buy two, toss the cut one and the normal spare...
