The mountain drive was nice. They have a nice venue! And price is good for a full days fun!
The man-made track needs work. Was a bit boring. And the rocky section right at the back needs some work. It can damage some cars. On the side and underbody.

Pro : Good location and post Covid one could make a very nice outing with the bar in operation.
Con : I think they need to state what the driving experience would be for people with normal vehicles and not Jeep Wranglers. I'm sure for a Jeep Wrangler the mountain route would have been a scenic drive, but if I had known what the trail looked like I would not have attempted it. If I was behind the two Pajero's, I would have also turned around. I would not recommend Sandturion to be honest. It's more a Jeep of heavily modified vehicle playground.
But it was a nice day out none the less.

Yip Tiny Tiger missed out on the pic taken on the top of the mountain as we were some of the ,"Fools" Helping
Would have loved to finish the trail but next time
So Im busy organizing a day on the 13 Feb with some Suzuki's back at Sandtoria Martin and other Suzukis let me know if you want to join 0826008663
Again only a number of entries
Yip some of the info on the cave was interesting and that it is not yet occupied by a Settler
Positive - I can see they have put in alot of effort to create a good experience with the variety of mane made Obstacles and mountain route
Negative- a self drive map will be good to play a bit in the Obstacles or signage (i believe anything Metal do not stay planted longer than a day )
Maybe paint some of the White Rocks Red and arrow on or with a painted number
But yes still enjoyed the day out

I am always positive, playing in the big league my Jimny certainly proved the combination of driver and car is a winning combination.
The positive, its a stunning route, not the most challenging, but I loved it. Some got caught out and to be assisted. The Jimny stood its ground.
Negatives , would love to do the other route.
The obstacle course was entertaining,
The hosts and the food was brilliant,
Thanks Manny , loved the event in total.

It was a great day out.KurtG wrote:I’m so glad I sold my Pajero now.
Sounds like it was a bit of a clusterf**k of a day but nice to see all the positive commentary (except Cornell)

Must say was not the greatest day out for the disco, but I enjoyed it, and besides I have found a few of the vehicles faults that I can now fix, driving in the mall does not put that kind of stress on the vehicle, so yes much appreciated for all the help today, at the least I can say that I was not recovered, but many thanks to kels who kindly stopped along the road home, offered us a beer and then towed me to my house to save time, thanks Kels... Vehicle is already stripped ready for new parts Monday, so not much time for you to squeeze in a trip without me sorry.

Like:
the location is very convenient
the covered restaurant bar area
the track owner actually drives his track
the potential for development is huge
parking under huge shade trees is great
Critique:
definitely some route signage would be good
need a lot more obstacles on the track
a loop route for the mountain trail instead of coming back on the same track
Its my second time there. R350 isn't cheap as far as trail costs, but the coffee and rusks in the morning and the decent lunch definitely swing it to the positive.
The Patrol's radiator was damaged by the new radiator fan I fitted during the week. It's a slightly larger fan and when the vehicle is heavily cross axle'd the chassis movement caused the blades to nick the radiator tubes at the top. I repaired it on the trail but I'll need to get a new radiator and put the old fan blade back in.
