I had a long chat with Francois, my Ropeologist.
He, like most Americans, is aware of Bubba Ropes, but not Yankum.
I asked about the recovery time (SAXJ's question above) & also, about the ropes Longevity.
Basically, if you are doing snatches well within the ropes capability, it will recover quickly (a matter of minutes) & can do dozens of recoveries (basically confirming what we know).
Obviously, if you are snatching heavily stuck large vehicles, then the recovery time will be longer & the rope will not last as long.
He said they did, at Mud Fest, dozens of recoveries in a single day, which bares out what I've heard & what Matt the Youtuber did (refer to Kurt's post).

We can also get Soft Shackles through them, they are about R250, which is a lot, but they are great to use.
I recall being surprised a few years ago when I discovered that a Soft Shackle costs 3x more that a Rated Steel Shackle.
It is what it is I guess.
He also gave me a non-Kinetic rope to test (see pic below) - so it's certainly sounds like we are due a 'Recovery Day'.
This is a 9 ton rope for pulling & towing, but obviously not snatching.
Finally, they also make up the Nylon ropes to replace your winch cable.
I'll post the full list and prices once he mails it to me.

Manny did Francois have any input about the difference in recovery time between a woven strap and a braided rope?

AFAIK and understand, braided is not Kinetic...
But we didn't discuss that, just that the recovery time is minutes, as long as you don't over-stress it.

It's still R1500.
I bought & resell them for the good of the club.
I don't really make money out of it.
