Andrew, it was up for sale, Nic wanted out.
Then a new crowd were taking the bookings but they hadnt taken transfer.
There is some rumour that the deal.fell through and guys lost deposits, but we are not sure.
In March Neon Deon was in Clarens and saw them advertising Ziplining etc.
I'm not sure of the current status - but I know Nic wanted out.
Tread carefully...

I Spoke to Nic last month - he now works in Clarens.
The new owner's son took over the managerial tasks and there just was no space for both of them.
Rebellie is still open and everything is going on as per normal.
I love the two trails there especially Kloof.
It is 40km from me so if you want to go, give me a shout and we can join.
There was a minimum limit of 4 vehicles to do Kloof - not sure if that is still in place.

Thanks!!! We plan to be there the 25th. You are most welcome, a local guy on an unknown trail is always most valuable. We are 5 vehicles. I spoke to the guy (I think he said his name was Theuns) and he said alls well.

Andrew/Hedgehog, Panda took up us the old Postal Route - you start right on the Lesotho border.
You drive up quite a scary mountain route and then, finally, get to the top of the Rebellie mountain route.
You then drive down the first half of the Rebellie mountain route (usually you come up).
We even saw the remnants of the Disco that rolled killing the occupants a few years back.
The trick is to start early, klap that route like an awkward ginger stepchild & get into Clarens for a few Clarens Brewery Blondes* by lunchtime.
