To be fair to the NCCC (Numbnut Clueless Clot Club) - it was showing signs before Lock Up was announced.
As soon as Lock Up ended on 1 May I called around for prices.
Cheapest (again) was Toyota.
So I popped to Halfway Toyota (they say halfway, but I had to drive all the way there) & got one.
Took 10 minutes to swop out the batteries & 12 minutes to go through all the Health & Safety BS...
R1 976.00
Funny aside to the story: When I told Ge'Off (Wave) that the dealer was cheaper he thought he'd try that route.
His wife's Polo battery was giving up, so he called a VW dealers - R4 800.00.![]()
Ge'Off, Ge'Off, the 'Try the Dealer' trick doesn't work with the Germans - they charge like the Blitzkrieg into Poland...![]()
