I have always been reluctant to travel or do trails with a group. I did it once a few years back in the south of Nambia.

Obviously we had a few the previous night and it was fun getting to know the faces behind their forum personas. But, when we did a relatively easy trail the next morning, I was shocked to see certain guys drinking beer at 08:00am. Each to his own I guess, but I found myself in a convoy of 4x4's where the guy in the vehicle in front of me let his thirst get the better of him.

It soured the whole experience for my wife and I. We are not finicky when it comes to having a few brews, but there is a time and a place for everything.

Know your group well before you go on a trail. Like my old man said: you meet an arsehole every day of your life

Just to clear the air.

If a gay wants to leave, then he/she can leave. I have no issue with that. Have the decency and tell the people around you that you are leaving.

@Ricoffy. I agree. If it is possible to get to know people beforehand, then that would be first prize. But it's not always possible.

Thankfully for members of the Action Group we don’t condone any drinking while driving...

Afterwards on the other hand, it’s each to his/her own but it’s generally well behaved at the camp site afterwards.
