The solution is:

Chalet...
... or a Nayela Okapi ...
Or a 5 Star hotel.....

Sorry for replying now... was offline for a while.

So essentially you don't use 220Vac while camping. A good 12V setup will be a better option... Then I'd rather spend the inverter money on more batteries or solar panels...

I saw a cheap alternative option for a camping trailer the other day and think it might be worthwhile to get something like that and start planning the electrics and gas for such a setup.

If there is 220v I do plug in, don't get me wrong, but my setup is designed that I can camp off-grid and still have cold beer for days.

So budget for a decent battery charger too...

We only use 220v to charge Laptop's. All the rest is fire or 12v, Hair is a drip dry even though I have a 1500 inverter

Nope, if there is a 220v power point at the campsite, I will run my extension cord and use the power available, the C-tek kicks in and charges both batteries in our camping trailer, yes everything else still runs on 12v but I have no need for solar.

Understood.

Missed the statement that you dont do solar.

I have a Victron 15A charger fitted to take care of the two batteries.

Bit of an overkill but fitted it in such a way that it can easily be removed to charge any other battery if required

I do have a 110w solar panel with built-in regulator, so if camping off grid I just plug it into my BH plug by the trailer coupler and I'm good to go. If I have enough daylight my 2 fridges run perfectly.

I had to remove the Conqueror "Homemade" charger as it died before I bought the trailer. the seller gave me a C-Tek 25amp charger that I have now built into the DB board, unfortunately it cannot be removed easily/without stripping the entire DB board out.
