Ek dink nie Forbes sal kak praat nie.

Enigste ander soortgelyke voertuig wat dan beskikbaar sal wees is die Patrol.

Manny says they are talking kak. There’s a new 300 Cruiser on its way. Not sure when it’ll arrive.

It makes sense because the Cruiser 200 & Lexus both sell in very respectable numbers.

The one that’ll ultimately get the axe is the 70 series.

Only the 200 series that is ending and the 300 is coming. Plus the V8 diesel is likely getting canned in favor of a twin turbo V6 diesel and turbo petrol V6 per the Lexus.

The 70 series is fighting wars, working mines and selling as fast as Toyota is making them. It took Toyota 23 years to can the 40 series. The 75 ran for 15, the narrow nose 79 ran for 11 and the wide nose is only 6 years in. Still some time for Toyota to milk this (awesome) cow me thinks.

Exactly Rudi...

LC200 sales in the US are down... it's expensive & old.
In the US the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 costs $85 000
The most expensive Chev SUV, the Suburban is $50 000
The most expensive Ford SUV, the Expedition is R$52 000
The humongous Lincoln Navigator is $73 000
The Ram-based Dodge Durango is only $30 000
The GMC Yukon Dinali 8 seater 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine & 10-speed auto with ALL the options ticked is less than $85000
So its hardly surprising its a slow seller - but I don't think Toyota cares.
In fact, the Lexus LX570 costs only $1000 more than the LC200

Toyota UK scrapped it there a few years ago. It was competing with Range Rovers & the like.
The Prado is now their Land Cruiser of choice.

But as Rudi says, a new LC300 is on the horizon, 2020 or 2021. It will feature a re-mapped V63.0 from the LS500.

Besides, with UN sales, Arab sales, African sales & Ozzie sales, I doubt Toyota care about America & Europe...

The current LC 200 is, right now, in SA, R1.2 million.
I suspect the LC 300 will start at R1.6 million.
They'll move it further up market to create a gap for the next LC 150 (Prado).

Selfde hier. Ek skuld niks op hom nie, hy doen wat nodig is - teen 'n slakke pas .

Ek sukkel om die bedrag van R700 000 + te verwerk vir 'n nuwe voertuig wat dalk nie so lank gaan hou nie!
