Oh yes! Growing up on the Westrand..... I remember everyone immediately wanted to save for a "cone filter" when they got their first wheels (mostly very old golfies and corsas). You know.... so you could hear the "roar" from your 1400.... And the alleged KW increase which all swore they could immediately "feel"... The good old days...

There’s a local guy who had a Jeep kit car with an Opel 2.0 Superboss motor.
He had a small brass tap on his dash which was connected to the window washer bottle. The bottle was filled with brandy. To pour he’d just push the windscreen washer button.
