I have just bought the goodies to service Luigi, SWAMBO-Lite's Fiat 500. R840 all in, including 1.5 lt of fully synthetic Shell Helix X8 oil more than needed.
Jeez, how small is that sump.
All my vehicles take more that 5 litres.

It's a little 1200 FIAT FIRE engine - similar to what was fitted to the UNO. Actual sump capacity is 3.1 lt including the filter

My wife had a 1400 Uno. That thing didn’t know how to break.

I drove the 2-door 1100 Uno Fire in my first year of varsity.

IIRC I got about 17km/l consistently.

In 2007 I hit a calf 20km outside of Charles Hill in Botswana. I ripped off the plastic bumper and drove back home 700km at 80kph.

That's my philosophy about the French (and their cars).

My brother has been struggling to sell his renault (sandero stepway) for the past six months - not even renault wants to buy that POS.

Yip, and there are many more just like him, you know its kak when the brand won't buy the car back.
You end up taking such a huge knock just to get out of the cr@p and back into a real car.

Drive it until the finance is paid up and sell it for pocket money

They bought ours when we got rid of it, but the price we got was not that great.

The problem in my neck of the woods is that not a lot of Renaults are sold (apart from the duster). You can easily drive 500km in Namibia without coming across a Renault, and if you do, its a duster.

Every dealer offered my brother less than the trade in value on his stepway. Renault offered trade in, but only if he bought another Renault, which he was not prepared to do.

There is just very little demand for Renaults in Namibia
