The new Infinity QX80

Post by XJ Junkie »

I had a peak inside one of these today. It’s difficult to describe how big this beast is. Although based on the Nissan Patrol, it just appears bigger somehow. Stock overall tyre diameter is 33’.

- 5.6L V8 making 298 kw & 560 Nm
- Will do 100 kph in 6.0 seconds.
- 7/8 seater
- absolutely Full House
- R1.5m

This is the new model which I think looks much prettier than the current one.

It’s an intriguing vehicle that’s as luxurious as a Range Rover but with more seats & space, as well as a very decent engine.

New or old one? I think the new one looks very good. The old one does look better in the flesh though.

Both, it reminds me of the Scion XBImage

The best looking Patrol is still the MQ followed by the Y61Image

Personally I think the Infinity looks better than the current Patrol. But the Patrol has better offroad angles & wheels. Infinity will have more kit.

Reenen has just sourced some brand new Infinity V8s for chips money. Better than the Lexus motors methinks and a lot cheaper

They actually use a 5.0 V8 Infinity in the Dakar Duster. Big power

So, it's basically a Lexus LX for people who like poor back up service & believe the Lexus is not ugly enough?

Kurt , people don't look at ugly cars. They must be looking at the owner ;)
