Traditionally these trips are held over the Woman's Day long weekend in early August.
Reasons:
1. Both require planning & at this stage we don't know for sure where this Lock Down is taking us.
2. Both trips require (& may result in) capital expenditure, which many cannot afford at this stage.
3. The Koranna Getaway too priority (because I wanted to go there
) 4. We are a little concerned with safety on both trips, particularly around Giyani.
5. I already know of a few groups doing River Trip. I suspect it may be crowded (as usual).
Does this mean you can't do a River Trip or a Baboons Pass Trip this year?
No. Not at all! You are welcome to do either, they are both 'open' events
