South African Vehicle sales

This is just another reflection on what is currently happening in the vehicle manufacturer race for supremacy, this even though Toyota is also busy with a huge export drive on Hilux Bakkies.

Martin, Isuzu only sell a bakkie & an SUV, so they can't compete with guys like Toyota with 16 different models.

On bakkie sales only, Isuzu's old, out of date, D-Max, long overdue replacement, has outsold the hapless Ranger for the past 3 months in a row.

Suzuki is doing extremely well because they sell good vehicles that are all in the price bracket South Africans can afford - the sub R600k bracket.

Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, etc don't sell any vehicles in the sub R600k bracket where most sales occur...

Manny, true, however it still shows Toyota is well spread across the spectrum, same as Ford, Nissan, VW.

Ge'Off, that would apply even more so to the D-Max which is even older and the new one is even more imminent.

Not sure, if I was about to buy a Ranger (assuming I'd taken leave of my senses) I'd wait for the T6.5.
It has the same drivetrain as the current one, so it's really just a new body and higher prices you are waiting for....
