I drove it around a bit and even went down to do the same North coast trip you guys ended up doing.
2017 Was a busy year and i didn't really get a chance to break away at all so i started development on a coil spring conversion kit for all sj's, this went quite well and late 2017 i was about to respray it.. then the secret was revealed it was a rusty wreck. and 2 beers later the body was cut in half.
Looking at what i have done the proportions wasnt quite right. i mean a 750mm load bed
. I mean it looked like one of those funky UK based 4x4 vehicles....So the grinder came out again and it was lengthened another 320mm if i remember correctly. this put it in that sweetspot of 108in wheelbase.
After a few busy months it was finaly done patching the masive hole in the back of the now cab as well as "most"of the cancer was gone.
With this it has had a 2.0 turbo diesel lump fitted from the 1800's. Its a slow donkey but a strong one.
I recently made a FJ70 cruiser radiator fit into it as i have had issues with it running hot. All seems sorted for now.
