New Discovery so far.

*PLEASE DON'T TURN THIS INTO A BRAND BASHING*
So...the new Discovery has been out a few years now. I am interested to know the following:
*has anyone got one with more than 150000km yet?
*has anyone had a failure that required a tow and what was it?
*has anyone had to spend more than R30k on one due to a failure out of plan?

I assume you are referring to the Discovery 5.

It was recently face-lifted & upgraded - but don't think the update has reached SA yet.

Peter Street would be the best person to answer.

I am not aware of it having any major issues like it's 2 predecessors.

Should be an interesting Thread.

The denotation D5 is a public name. Landrover just call it the new Discovery.

What will the D6 be called... the New New Discovery.

Then the D7 will be the Really Brand New Discovery not to be confused with the New or the New New ones...

Ask Landrover. I don't work for them. As bad as the Ferrari the Ferrari.

So clearly no one has a D5 with 150k km plus, broke down or spent more than R30k on repairs. Or everyone on this Forum is a broke arse like me and can't afford it.

And doing so would prove the level of retardation suffered by Toyota owners.
