Managed to duff it today on the farm. Maxed out my 700mm breakover clearance and got myself stuck without traction. Lucky all soft sand, and it took me half an hour to dig the sand out under the belly dropping the wheels back onto the ground.

Difficult call to make without the diff open as these bearings are quite expensive.david bfreesani wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 12:07 amThanks Christo. I need to tackle my pinion bearings urgently now. Did you have any luck finding those bearing numbers or specs for me?grips wrote:Looking good BFree

With Spookspruit closing, this was one of my best memories, and shows the natural flex under difficult circumstances.

… beyond my flex …
… probly the closest Ive come to rolling the Dreadnaught …
At 3-Provs going down a steep wet decline, the vehicle was tilting on diagonal wheels …
front right wheel sitting about 1/2m up a boulder
and back left wheel taking balance of weight,
front left wheel free-hanging & limp above sharp fall-off in in the decline so my bumper was ? maybe + 1.5 m above the road.
… see-sawing vehicle … needed a little help from my friends, until a Rubicon winched me back up-hill a bit so that I could proceed in more dignified manner …

Chas, Jeeps and Jimny's refer to death wobble, Defender refers to death plunge.

which would have rolled down the slope
