If you could choose a vehicle from each of the 4x4 vehicles currently for sale in SA, which vehicles would you park in your garage?

-Toyota - 76 Cruiser.
-Ford - Of the ones for sale in SA... erm. no thanks. Bronco, F150 Raptor if we can order states stuff... but then What the hell. Bring me an F600!
-Mazda - erm.
-VW - Porsche 911 Turbo S cabriolet with some options.
-Jeep - Rubicon - V8 one please!
-Isuzu - NPS Crew Cab I guess, with a motorhome body....
-Suzuki - Jimny!
-Nissan . Patrol....
-Land Rover. Nothing I want. I'd rather buy 2 used Pumas. one 90, one 110!
-Mercedes - Gwagon no longer does it for me since they went IFS. Might as well go GLS , to hell with the cost as Mike is buying, I'll take the Maybach option!....
-Mitsubishi. again..... not much in the light range that does anything for me.... probably the Canter 4x4 with a motorhome body is best!

I bought a VW Polo new about 3-4 years ago
and paid additional for their radio sound system
which turned out to be a lemon.
After much arguing and threatening they said they'd replace it,
... found out they just exchanged from a Demo Car !

Recently the starter went ... they charged R1500
to ' find /assess 'the problem and quoted R6-8000
to supply and fit a new starter over 1-2 days;
... my local Indi charged R1200 and did it in a morning .
More recently not one but BOTH low beams
went , within a week of each other !

VW is no longer the class act of quality & service
which they once were ... many years ago.

The VW 'brand' is not worth the excessive big premium you pay and their service here in SA makes you soon realise we live a hell of a long way from WolfsBurg .

That definitely explains the hundreds of thousands of Polos on our roads.

Lets put it this way :
I think Beetles built the VW empire & reputation,
and Golfs sustained it ( better than I thought)
and Polos being sold on that standing, reputation & Brand ...

Yes ... plenty Polos on the road,
but ... VWs is definitely not what or where it was ... !!
