Seeing that he is based in the Jo-Burg area, form what I gather in his shows, we should invite him to come along to the Training day on 28 March.
We could possibly get some coverage for the club in one of his programs.
I have enjoyed watching the shows he has published so far. The Botswana trip series showed some of the areas I would like to visit in the future. Them getting stuck on the pan in that series and when he showed the damage to his vehicle after an "oops" on a trail shows he doesn't mind showing all of the happenings and not only the good stuff.

You know what Manny, the positive comments are always welcome, but when you target someones personality, that's where I thinkbits disrespectful.
That's probably why u were banned on many occassions from the other forum because of your disrespect for others.
This conversation has got nothing to do with his technical abilities, so stop trying to twist this argument to justify your inappropriate comments.

You're going to have to look far and wide to find anyone on this forum who takes what Manny says seriously - I suggest that you start doing the same.Wayneman wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 12:24 pmYou know what Manny, the positive comments are always welcome, but when you target someones personality, that's where I thinkbits disrespectful.

So I have just watched the first episode over lunch.
I think it was good and he did a good job!
Yes he does come across as a gentle soul - not the typically rugged character one would associate with this type of expedition.(Not that ASW is overly musculine ).
Camera work is good. Can't comment on much else as I haven't watched any other episodes.
He gets to do something I wish I had more time for!
He has recieved exposure on this forum due to Manny's post and I think that is what is most important.
The criticism is just that - criticism. Par for the course.
I doubt that he will concern himself too much with what is said here. If you post on social media you are bound to be criticised.
It is what it is.
I have subscribed and will watch more of his clips.

Thanks Shane.
Yes, I felt it was worth a watch & that's why I recommended it.
Some of us build others up & help grow & support their endeavors.
Some of us are too busy taking offense & attacking those who DO that they contribute nothing.
And I'm not only referring to Wayneman here...
But to those who have chosen to not be offended, give it a watch & tell us what you think.

arose from or is relevant...
Please enlighten me,

While I was aware of this website I had not paid much attention to it. Following Manny's suggestion I have now watched quite a few of his videos and they are very useful to me as a Jimny owner, albeit the older version.
I had never heard of these sidesteps but I think they look great and have ordered one.

Great stuff.
This will not only support him, but encourage others to start similar channels.
All good for our viewing pleasure.

Sit down, cool off and think about what you’ve actually been saying and I think even you will soon realise you are actually not the only soldier marching in step here.Wayneman wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 9:55 am
... I've met some guys on this forum over the years, and MY OPINION is they are racist, arrogant 4ssholes, but i dont name & shame them and blurt it out on public forums like this.
You guys need to learn and show a bit more respect to other people...

You’ve only just arrived and your comments clearly betray the fact you’ve got a heap of preconceptions and prejudices and a pile of mental baggage you want to haul in/along from other times and places.

Just read through this post for the first time and I must say I'm disgusted. If we cannot express our own opinions, what's the use of this forum. If we insult each other like what's been happening here, I might as well go back to the other forum. If members carry on like this, I don't see a future for this forum. Just my opinion. So there you go, give it your best.

Nico, you drive a Toyota - so you find yourself in a permanently disgusted state
This is a forum for 4x4 enthusiasts with its foundations in the 4x4AG club.
There will always be some guys who make unsubstantiated (and defamatory) remarks - but they are usually the minority and barely, if at all, contribute to the spirit of a forum.
The rest of us have the ability to joke with one another - when appropriate - and know each other well enough not to take offense. Like they say in Afrikaans: Vat dit van wie dit af kom.
Now that THAT has been said, here is a picture of an Amarok (the best 4x4 in the world) to help you calm down:
