Little G60 Patrol
I am not going to repeat a built threat that were posted on other forums. This will be a thread posting future mods on the G60 Patrol. Also keep in mind that Ignus started working on this project at the age 14. First in partnership with his brother. When Christopher started out with the Lexus Lux Ignus become the sole owner.
I do have a spare G60 chassis. Expect to see a four link conversion in the near future.
Please take into account if something like welding is not perfect that Ignus is still a learner and need to polish some skills.
Few weekends ago Little Patrol made it up Langduin Waterfort. Few can claim to master Langduin. As far as we know the oldest 4x4 ever up there.
Not bad for a 1965 Model with a 1976 V8 engine with a few mods
The Patrol in 2013 at the start of the project.

The tale of the exhaust system.
Engine bay of the Patrol is very narrow at the rear where the original I6 engine nestled. Almost no room with the V8 left for proper exhaust manifolds.
When we did the Edelbrock top end kit with the alu heads the stock Ford 302 manifolds stayed on as there were o way to fit proper branches.
Stock 302 Manifolds were choking the 302.
Ignus dug out a set of 351W manifolds and port matched them to the Edelbrock heads. The old exhaust system did not fit the new manifolds.
Now problem two none of the exhaust outlets in Kathu could make the short bends needed to line up with the manifolds.
So Ignus build his own system.

This weekend at Waterford. Bye, Bye rear side shaft. Time to dump the Patrol diffs and go 9.5 Cruiser diffs from a FJ45 or 60 Series.
