Panda,

relax, we need agility, 3 Hummers and one long Defender will not work.

Chas,
nobody is unfriendly, people just dont want to be exposed to the elements longer than they have too.

Manny,

just a feeling, Alex loved it, Renier C interested, TJ ??,

All I know its not a walk in the park, its not Jansens 4x4 or even Karee Krans, its 26km of concentration, focus on the job at hand, no turning back.

leave your ego at home, that pass is tough, it tests you all the time.

As Manny states, lets chat, but the official thread will be launched after the AGM.
I loved yes, and will probably do it again some year, but this year I'm taking "The River Trip" as I have not done it before.

The "High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles" will do well, both Sabaki and Renier C are seasoned Commanders. Besides, we go in groups for team effort.
LWB defenders have done it before, with a lot more difficulty I must add, and that was when it was still a highway.
Infact the defender videos on YouTube are the ones making Baboons Pass more scary than it really is.

... Relax ... I’ve no intention of putting my name down for Baboons !
Havent studied the route/challenge but my 130 probably is inappropriate mainly due to v. wide turning circle and limitation of only having center diff-lock being in standard form ...

But, that said, I do think a (SWB?) Puma with its traction control and v. high clearance and perhaps with added diff-lock/s (?) would be up the top having tea before you guys had finished your praying down at Base Camp!

Agreed. It was hard enough getting one hummer up the pass.
