Today, 4x4 Action enjoyed a day out at Jansen's 4x4, first thanks to the owners; Andre and Johan Heunes.
Day started at 09h00, Chas and his wife camped in the cold. The others together with myself joined at the farmhouse, we were 9 4x4's in total, Rabbiddog and SueAnne, George (Triton1), Avon and his wife, Wave, Chas, Striker 63, and myself from the club, with three new guys. It was a nice variety of 4x4's and drivers differed in experience.
I believe all will agree its an exciting route, some nice challenges, varying from grade 2.5 to 3.5. Going through the erosion sloot twice, deeper into the farm we found some rocky terrain, till we went up the highest koppie, a real tester. Some real rocky climbs to the highest point and down over an extremely rocky drop off.
I suffered a small ding on my front door, Rabbiddog suffered a sidewall cut, and Striker again suffered some mechanical gremlins.
We drove the route guiding each vehicle safely through.
Later we drove to the dam, nobody felt the need for mud and grime, we ended the day with a braai.
Later we all departed from what was a great get together.
