Patrol Forum - Carnage Canyon

#1

Post by Trolly Fan »

Hi everyone

This is a sort of "open event" day.
I.e. it is for the Patrol forum, but since so few Patrol drivers are prepared to engage in serious rock crawling, Manny gave me permission to extend the invite to the 4x4AG club.

The date is as per the title.
The Saturday and Sunday is Carnage Canyon itself.
The Monday and Tuesday (the latter being the PB) Ron Hairbottle will take us to a second canyon which is less technical and more pretty, with swim-holes and a second campsite.

Note, that if you are worried about dinging your vehicle, you are also welcome to come for the social and not drive (and perhaps support the spotting work). You can then still drive on day 3 and 4.
There are twenty 'camp sites', limited by space.

See details here:
https://www.patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.p ... 73#p120666

There is a cost involved in clearing the camp site, which I will give through in due course.
Else, camping is wild, and wild camping etiquette must be respected.

Let me know by reply and PM me your number for the eventual WA group.

Alex - hope you don't mind. I edited your post. Topic changes and I added a start / end date too. This means it will show up on the calendar.

Oh, thanks.
I was not sure how to make it go onto the calendar.

Reached the Beach with Tiny Tiger last year

This opportunity does not happen every year so if you can join this event you must go even just as a Spectator

Some how your change didn't work, this event doesn't show on the calendar

I presume the OP re-edited the post. I have corrected it. It shows.
