3 Provinces Night drive.

3 Provinces Night drive & camping weekend.

When: 28-30 October

Where: 3 Provinces 4x4 Trail (Volksrust MP)

Costs:
Camping:
R230 per vehicle with 2 persons +R115 pers/per extra on a night. KIds Under 2years old Free.

3 Provinces main trail:
34 km takes 4-6 hours R330 per 4x4 vehicle
(R1340 – if the guide uses his own vehicle or you must be recovered.)

Short trails:
Bobbejaankrans-&Tierkloof trails: 5km takes about 1½ hours & 8km takes about 2 hours. Cost remains the same if you are doing either one or
both trails R210 per 4x4 vehicle.

How do I pay:
You pay into the 4X4AG account for the trails And camping only.
Log & Rock cabins must be booked privately.

What reference to use:
You MUST use your Forum Name + 3ProvND

Please specify in attendance list the if you stay 2 nights and if you want to do the extra trails.

Eg: ASjas Saturday trail and camp R560 (Saturday night and trail)
OR Asjas Full weekend R1000 ( Fri-Sun Camping & ALL trails)

By when:
All payments must be made by the 3rd of October 2022.
Entrants limit:
15 Vehicles On trail

Plan:
We are booking the whole weekend but the night drive will start Saturday evening at approximately 3PM (drivers briefing) and can potentially last up to midnight. (OR Sunday morning if we get rain for some reason :mrgreen: )
For entrants doing the whole weekend there are also 2 shorter trails we can squeeze in on Friday afternoon as well as Saturday morning. Sunday we sleep in before heading back home.

Attendance Notes:
1. A 'Stand' is 2 persons + Vehicle.
2. We can only take maximum of 15 Vehicles
3. Payment Cut-off is when we reach 15 bookings or 3 October - whichever comes first.
4. NO REFUNDS AFTER 3 October 2022

Cabin pricing for those interested.

2 Rock Cabin’s Rates(Open Plan+far from campsite):
1 Rock Cabin – can accommodate 7 persons -
open plan – self catering: R700 per cabin for 2 or less persons per cabin;
BUT rate changes to per person per night,
when more than 2 people in one cabin: R320 p.p.p.n
for 3 or 4 persons (older than 12years);
R300 p.p.p.n for 5 or more persons.
R160 p.kid.p.n for kids under 12.

2 Log Cabin’s Rates(open plan+far from campsite):
1 Log Cabin – can accommodate 5 persons and the other one 4 persons - self catering:
R630 per cabin for 2 or less persons per cabin;
BUT rate changes to per person per night, when more than 2 people in one cabin:
R290 p.p.p.n for 3 or 4 persons (older than 12years);
R260 p.p.p.n for 5 or more persons.
R145 p.kid.p.n for kids under 12
under 2 years are free.

For the 5 of us we're talking of (round figures) 1.5k/night for accomodation......

Of course we can probably camp - but it's a mess if you get a lot of rain...

Bit an expensive weekend which ever way you look at it.

Hey, you called us boring and insinuated that we are afraid of a night drive.

I only pointed out that, in my case, it's nearly 400km and would cost me 1.5k/night to sleep over.

This might be the reason why others haven't shown interest so far and has nothing to do with "bang" and "boring".

I like the idea - the numbers don't add up.
