Jakes don't put yourself out too much. We might not be enough to justify the effort. I don't know how many of the other guys would consider staying behind for that and I'd hate for you to do all the effort just for me & my BIL. Neither of us are big drinkers.
We will be sleeping over at Mt Amanzi so I'm sure we'll find a place where we can catch the game.
I see that you close at 18:30 on saturdays and the rugby will probably only start at 17:00 and finish between 18:30 & 19:00.

I met the guys at Jakes' Binary Brew Worx, (BBW) unfortunately they got there an hour earlier than I anticipated.
Sounds like they all had a pleasant day 4x4'ing at De Wildt.
Seems they were impressed with the Haval H9's performance.
Jakes' BBW was a pleasant surprise: I expected a very rustic place with good beer (he is mos a Craft Brewer) however, the place is actually very nice, with plenty thoughtful touches, like the use of kegs as urinals and basins, he clearly put a lot of though into every detail.
But the biggest surprise was the food, it was damn good, the burgers, the chips, the samosas and my favourite, the deep fried spinach and feta wraps.
The beers were good, I'm not much of a beer drinker but I had 4, the American Pale Ale and a Blond, both good.
A big thanks to Shane for arranging the day. You done good Vrystaater...

Right so just a quick wrap up of the day...
I arrived at 08:00 to find a few of the guys already there.
Aired down, had a quick coffee and did the rounds introducing myself.
Eventually everyone pitched and we sorted the briefing.
Vehicles on the day were as follows:
Renier - Landy
Erin + Jonathan - landy
Johan - landy
Anthony - with his Nissan - which looks sweet by the way after some much needed body work and a coat of Raptor Coat.
Peet - Fortuner
Kyle - Jeep
Kevin - Haval
Ian - Jimny
Werner - Mazda
Mysel - Old Hilux SFA.
Renier lead the group with me bringing up the rear. We started off with the axle twister as seems to be the norm with this trail.
It was Jonathans first time 4x4ing and I could see that his nerves were getting the better of him

I snapped a photo of him and he was able to muster a smile just as my finger hit the camera button....
Anyhow he handled himself like a champ and with a little assistance soon had the first obstacle done and dusted.
Given the nature of the route (and the fact that I was sweeper for the day) I missed a lot of the guys doing the other obstacles.
What I can mention though was Gert se klip.
Now I had watched people doing it many times on Youtube and thought I was ready for it...
But it was WAY steeper in real life and I must admit that I was quite nervous going into it.
It certainly looks formidable in rea life.
With some calming words of encouragment from Anthony to settle my nerves I took it on and it was a breeze.
Peet + Kyle made it look easy and the other guys didn't break a sweat either.

After the trail a few of us went to Binary Brew Works for a toot & a bite.
Personally I was more interested in seeing what a proper shit stirrer looks like - and Jelo did not dissappoint!
The beers were good - and more importantly- cold!
The food was great! I had samoosas and chilli bites and got to enjoy them all over again this morning!
The pub is only 6 mths old and those of you who are in the area should really make an effort to go and check it out.
After a couple of beers & a bite we left to go our seperate ways.
