De Wildt 9 July 2022

#1

Post by Shane »

What: An open GTG/event for all interested.

When: 9 July 2022 - 08:30 for 09:00 departure.

Where: De Wildt

How Much ? R355/vehicle.

Who: Anyone interested in a fun social day with low chance of vehicle damage.

Who may drive ? Anyone with a valid drivers license, not under the influence of any forbidden substances.

How do I pay? Into the club account with name & outing as reference eg. Shane DW9.

Cut off date: Monday 4th July 2022 @ 8pm sharp!

Banking Details:
4x4 Action Group
Nedbank Fourways
Account Number 1051513812
Branch Code 168-405

This is not meant to be a die hard outing. Personally I want to give my SFA a "soft" test - to ensure that all the nuts & bolts hold together. It's been acting a little like a Land Rover lately so I need to see if all the wrinkles have been ironed out ImageImageImage.

For the more experienced guys I'm sure there will be tougher obstacles that I may/may not do with them - depending on the weather and the size of my cojones on the day.

Radios would make it a lot easier for all to communicate.

I am also more than happy to stand back and let more experienced guys take the lead - otherwise we just wing it!

Should be a fun day.
Beers and burgers afterwards at Jelo's pub.
I look forward to putting a face to the name (and all the kak on the forum that shall not be mentioned ImageImageImage).

Also a good opportunity to support a fellow forumite!

Please add your name to the second post if you're interested in going.

I've got quite a chaotic couple of months ahead work-wise. That weekend could possibly work for me, but I will only know closer to the time.

So, and I say this only to annoy Manny: tentatively - ie: A definite maybe.

Surely, you should ask them to indicate whether they'll be Wheelin' ONLY or Wheelin & the going to Jake's Pub?
I'm sure Jakes would appreciate an indication of numbers...

:D :D Tentatively there! 2 Adults, 2 Children, with pub lunch afterwards.

But please explain the 08:30 for 09:00????? Could never understand that? Be more german. Meet at 08:30, start track at 09:00? Or be there between 08:30 and 09:00? Or arrive when you want to and just start? Very afrikaans term that. Nou, nounou, netnou, sal nou, amper nou… :D :D
