Event Details?

Come join us for a good old-fashioned camping and 4x4 weekend at a really beautiful place. The campsites are surrounded by bush. There are braais at the campsites but there is a really nice braai and boma area where we can braai and reminisce on the events of the day.
The plan will be to arrive Friday afternoon. Set up camp. Braai at the boma or at your own camp area if you prefer. Maybe do the short obstacle area near the camp as a night drive…
Saturday … deflate and ready to roll at 9am…. Drive the mountain route…. Come back to the camp area… eat lunch… if you want…. Then head out to the natural obstacle area…. Come back…. Evening braai together….
Sunday… slow get up and do whatever… you can do some more 4x4, or walk or sleep or kuier… then pack up and leave….

There are three 4x4 sections:
1. The mountain trail (scenic with some tricky obstacles and one very challenging obstacle) 5 hours more or less
2. Natural obstacle area which also has a fun time trial track … we could spend 3 hours there
3. The little natural obstacle track near the camp. Technical, under the tree canopy, lots of fun… takes about 15 minutes or so

Wood and ice will be available for sale at loerkop. I’ll arrange for the braai wood for Saturday night at the boma area.

Off Course 4x4 has done 2 episodes at Loerkop you can view those on YouTube if you’d like to see more. The facilities are humble but clean and quaint. can use if you want. There is a fridge/freezer in a common kitchen/washup area available for use where I usually put my cold drinks/beers for the evening around the fire, it’s just very convenient.

The couple that own the place have asked us to give them some pointers and guidance at the place so please feel free to give your inputs after the weekend.

Ant, he paid R600.
So that means he is camping both nights but not 4x4'ing...

He has a Defender 130 & a Ranger, but no 4x4...
