I see a few sharp readers have noticed that the difference in the Event Fee for Non Members compared to Club Members is R250.
This is the same as the Annual Club Membership Fee. This was done deliberately.
Instead of paying the R650 you can instead join the club for R250 & then only pay R400 for the event.*
That way you will then get a very nice domed gel Club sticker & one year's membership to the4x4Action Group Club.

* Excluding your passengers, of course.

This is very clever.

I have always wanted to Join, Just never gotten round to it. So sign me up for joining the club as well.

Just a quick one considering this Forum is dead still.

What would be the strongest lightest material be to construct rock ladders with for this trip. i checked some videos on you-tube and those things look vital.

You'd need something strong enough to support the vehicles weight- well, one wheel's weight.

A guy had these Alu plates there last time - they bent.

I took a pair of the Fibreglass grid type ones along, and didn't use them at all. The hi lift jack with wheel buddy was used continuously though.

Thanks for posting the videos Wooky!

List in Post #2 updated.

Japie of Off Course 4x4 called me, they will be filming this event for their Youtube Channel.
They have a few requests, in addition to the 4x4 Act5ion Group Code of Conduct, that we need to adhere to, for filming purposes.
Nothing too onerous, stuff like keeping your FM radio off & watching the language etc.

I'll be adding them as soon as their payments reflect.

As long as they realize that not all of us want to be youtube stars.
I prefer not to be part of the filming / interviews etc.....
