Might alow 1 or 2 more if you interested to join...
I would really like to go - but cannot commit quite yet.

A youngster at work is eagerly awaiting the birth of his twins. The timing may f-up my plans.

So I'll ask nicely closer to the time should things work out in my favour.

My steel canopy is quite heavy and probly
heightens my Defender130s CoG significantly.
It takes 4+ people to lift or load it onto the bin
and so probly weighs in at 150kg - 175kg …
I also have a Fakawi Canvas Canopy that sits
over an Aluminium frame and is probly <30kg.

For those who have done this trip before:
Would it be really be advisable to go through
hassle of swapping out the canopy ?
esp to lower CoG and wrt Side Tilt
obstacles etc ?

Thats why we old hands at Trip organisation only start the WhatsApp group (if absolutely necessary) less than a week before departure.

All WhatsApp groups degenerate into kak praat groups after a few days, so the earlier you start them the more pointless they become...

Lots of side slope driving. I would recommend removing the canopy.
