I’m seeing a lot of very good leadership skills being displayed here on this thread. You guys should consider standing for Chairman

I understand Uithoek only has about 6 stands.
Manny has been there recently
Uithoek has space for 15 or 20 campers.
Lovely Ablutions.
No shade.

OK... based on the feedback, we'll keep the YEF at the original date posted in the 2020 Club Calendar Thread in October 2019...

VII. 28 November 2020
Year End Function

What I'd like is suggestions of a venue for theYEF - maximum 2 hours from Gauteng.
But preferably South.

With regards to the Gariep trip over the September long weekend.
I'm happy to arrange it if there's enough interest...

Lesoba has 6. Uithoek can cater for 50+

Klipdraai in Meyerton is an excellent campsite but no 4x4 track close by. We can always race around Midvaal raceway.
Spookspruit south of Heidelberg focuses on 4x4 with a campsite and swimming pool. Amenities average.
Sionbergh west of Heidelburg apparently good and a 4x4 trip can be organized at Spookspruit.

Dunno.
They said it would close.
Maybe it has.

Crap venue for a YEF though...

Every single person who has posted so far, except Shane (near Virginia FS), lives in Gauteng...
Ok, I'll bite

I have to agree with the sentiments of some, when saying that going further away, without actual commitment from those who live further away, will be money and time wasted.

Most of those who don't mind the travel, are either unemployed, or on pension... (It might mean the same thing)

But...

I cannot actually comment because most of this groups GTG's are when and where I cannot attend. :|
