I have 2 handheld radios that operate on the ORRA frequencies that I will bring along. They can be used by the group for spotters guiding someone or in a vehicle as I have one magnetic antenna for one of them.

Guys I’m hearing there is a lot of trouble in the Jozini, umbombo, Mkuze area.
They have been blocking off roads, stoning, rioting for a while now. It’s been in the DriveMoz site for sometime as well.
Know there is still a while to go but worth keeping an eye on it.

I've been in contact with some guys that live in that area from when it was reported a while ago. The problems seem to be mostly in the area around Jozini town and the dam. The alternate route to bypass this area will be to go to Hluhluwe on the N2 then head north. They offered to keep me informed closer to the time of our trip.

Will do Kurt.
Here is a link to the thread on the Community Forum about the road closures. https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/sh ... i-Kozi-Bay
Riaan lives in Richards Bay and travels a lot in that area while Shemula / Ernie owns Shemula Lodge close to Kozi Bay.

Thanks Paul - I see the social media platforms in that area are still a buzz.
I suppose the next question is great if we find a safe route in but will it impact our agenda in traveling around the area?
